silicone waterproofing

external brickwork / stonework

Do I need

External Waterproofing?

What happens when we experience so much rain that the brickwork/stonework of a property becomes so porous that it allows the wind, rain, hale, sleet and snow to impact into the outer shell (fabric of the property) into your home.   The interior of your home becomes damp, wet patches and smells damp and mouldy. Mould growth can appear on your decoration and salt contamination of the plaster can occur causing ugly spoiling of your decoration.

It has become apparent that external Micro-Porous Silicone Sealant being applied to the exterior of the brickwork serves as an repellent to water. It aids waterproofing to the exterior of the property. Micro-porous silicone is a clear liquid applied in liquid form which solidifies.

This helps keeps the British weather at bay. Although this treatment will not last indefinitely, it gives a respite period of 2 – 3 years, although it is recommended that this is topped up after two years to provide lasting protection.
