How do I know

Is it Rising Damp?

Ugly patches appearing on the wall? Wallpaper peeling? A musty Smell? All these conditions usually indicate a problem with rising damp, penetrating damp, water ingress, salt contamination or condensation.

Before proceeding with a treatment, the source of the problem must be established. Is it rising damp? Does the property have a damp course?

Has the property ever had a damp proof course? Is there a water leak coming in from somewhere or a burst pipe? Is there a problem with the guttering and water ingress coming from outside?

Our aim is to determine the problem and the cause:

the next step

how can rising damp be treated?

There are many treatments available on the market for rising damp. Stone Oak use a chemical injection damp proof course. This method has been used by Stone Oak for over 35 years and has the added benefit of the Company 30 year guarantee.

Stone Oak can provide costings for the complete job of damp proofing from removing plaster, insertion of DPC and re-plastering or for the chemical injection only. All re-plastering work should be carried out in accordance with Stone Oak Pink Specification which will be provided on request.
