wet & dry rot

problems & solutions

what kind of rot

Wet or Dry?

Dry Rot and Wet Rot can be hidden problems.   Fungal outbreaks such Serpula Lacrymans and Coniophora puteana together with mycelium tend to spread under floorboards in sub-site areas attacking timbers and masonry.

It is because of the conditions that are favourable to the fruiting bodies, fungi and tendrils that it is not usually discovered until the extent has spread to visible areas.

These forms of decay have to be treated as soon as possible and can cause structural decay to timbers if left untreated.
